Earlier today Lancashire announced the signing of Indian Batsman Shreyas Iyer, now Worcestershire have made their own overseas signing by announcing the signing of West Indian fast-bowler Alzarri Joseph.
The 24-year-old Antiguan joins Worcestershire for the start of the 2021 County Championship season.
Joseph who's just starting his international journey has never played first-class cricket in England domestically but will be joining Worcestershire with a very impressive first-class record.
In 116 games Joseph has taken 116 wickets at just over 26 a wicket. The early portion of the county-championship season which takes place in April is ideal for fast-bowlers with the wickets offering generous assistance in terms of pace and movement.
Joseph has appeared in 12 tests for the West Indies including their 2017 and 2020 series in England, but overall his record in England is quite poor for a man of his talents. He'll hope to improve that this Spring.
