Quetta Gladiators (171-7) beat Islamabad United (168)
England players who appeared: Dawid Malan, Jason Roy
England players who didn't play: Phil Salt, Tymall Mills
As expect Dawid Malan and Jason Roy both made their 2020 debuts in the PSL. Dawid Malan was impressive in making 64 off 40 balls at a strike rate of 160, this included three big sixes. His innings came to an end when he was caught on the boundary by Jason Roy trying to accelerate Islamabad's innings.
On the other hand, Jason Roy had a short stay at the crease as he was trapped LBW on 0 with the 2nd ball he faced. He did, however, take two catches in the inning.
Karachi Kings (201-4) beat Peshawar Zalmi (191-7)
England players who appeared: Chris Jordan, Tom Banton, Liam Livingstone, Liam Dawson
England players who didn't play: Alex Hales.
There was no Alex Hales for Karachi, although I'm not 100% sure why. I'm sure it has nothing to do with this cheeky social media post of smoke outside the stadium.
Of the England players that did play, Tom Banton managed just 13 before being trapped LBW by Jordan. Liam Livingstone made a superb 54* off 29 balls, good for a strike rate of 186, while Dawson managed 22 off 16 for a strike rate of 137.
Chris Jordan was impressive with the ball, taking 2 wickets in his 4 overs, for 39 runs, which was good for an economy rate of 9.75.
Dawson turned his arm for 2 overs, but he didn't manage to get a wicket and went for 22 runs as well.
Multan Sultans (142-5) beat Lahore Qalandars (138-8)
England players who appeared: Moeen Ali, James Vince,
England player who didn't play: Ravi Bopara, Wayne Madsen, Samit Patel
Not much to write home about with the bat for either player. James Vince was clean bowled by Shaheen Afridi on just 18 (off 9), while Moeen Ali was run out soon after for just 11 (off 8).
Moeen only bowled two overs, but they were two very good overs. Going for just 13 runs and picking up two huge wickets in Chris Lynn and Fakhar Zamen.
